i think i put together a pretty well rounded team and now i have Adrian GOnzalez, Lind and Pena (probably) at 1b. So if anyone needs a first basemen, lemme know.
and i liked spending the money on quality backups rather than drop 18 or so bucks on a relative unknown in darvish.

It's strange that so many people are using up 90% of their cap space immediately. It leaves no options for the later stages in the season when people get injured or you need to make that move to get you into the playoffs.

Is anybody else tempted to throw out a random shortstop to see how high the bidding will go?

At this rate, Yunesky Betancourt would go for a few bucks. ...and yet I still have not gotten a bite on JJ Hardy ($5/1) who popped 30 HR last year and is on the trade block. Also Dude, I think there are two schools of thought on FA: 1.Save cap space for later flexibility and in-season deals. 2. Use available funds while useful talent is still available for nothing but budget to make a deep roster and avoid having to trade with poor leverage when injuries strike.

I definitely abide by #2, I'm trying to get talent right now to back up my team if I need it!
(If I could get a back-up SS for less than $10/1).
It will be interesting to see which approach seems to work better.

Also not sure why people are going so insane on shortstops. The position is thin sure, but not having one and saving the cap space is probably a smarter move than going crazy on someone who hurts your team.

we all have our own strategies. you question my cap space use, and i question your drafting the all 15 day DL team

I'm waiting for the study that is able to accurately predict players injuries, until then, talent talent talent.

The only studies that seem to indicate anything about injuries suggest past injury is the best predictor of future injury.

Apparently we're all tuckered out on the FAs.

I'd like to thank everyone still bidding on Brian Roberts for keeping FA bidding alive. We almost closed out our last active bid!
Ray/Mahoney- Don't you guys need some bench players?

I need plenty of help.
Guys-my apologies for disappearing. I am in 7 leagues, 4 money leagues, so the money leagues have been my primary focus. I will do my best to stay active going forward.
