At some point within the next couple days, I will be sending out the draft order; one for the main draft, and one for the prospect draft. Both will be determined randomly using an order generator found here: www.fftoolbox.com/draft_order_generator.cfmThis is a simple way to do it. An email gets sent out to every manager to make sure that everyone can see the order that it chooses. One will be called "Fake Teams Dynasty MLB Draft" and the other will be called "Fake Teams Dynasty MiLB Draft". If you have any questions about this system, speak up ASAP.

I always use those guys to set my draft order - they work great.

Soon, although we have more time for that since it is only 5 rounds.

5 sounds about right to me based on our roster size/league size. That still means that 80 prospects are going to get drafted every year. I'd be interested to see how they pan out across all the others, but when I looked at BP's top 101 from last year, I counted 11 players that I was sure had passed our minor league limits, and 10 more who I thought might have as well. Throw in that after this season, there will probably be about 40-50 that will carry forward because they have not passed their limits (low-level players like Profar, Machado, etc.)
This first draft might be a bit deeper than expected, but I think once we get into year 2 and 3 it should be alright. Realistically, it seems to me that by the end of year 2, the top 100 will be owned on a pretty consistent basis, and since we can't have more than 26 on our big league roster anyway, we probably don't want to get too deep on the minor leagues anyway.

This would be my proposal: Expand The roster limit to anywhere between 30-40. 40 would be my preference since that is what it is in the MLB roster size is. Then have a 10 round minor league draft to start off the league, and then 5 rounds for the rest of the years.

The minor league roster limit or major league roster limit? With a 5 round draft, we are looking at 80 prospects coming off the board. How many prospects do you need on your team? It's just unnecessary to have that many prospects so soon.

There's a couple flaws with that idea. Sites don't allow you to have that many roster spots. Furthermore, not all prospects that are getting drafted are in the systems. Lastly, it kills a major league level talent. Teams would be stacking rosters with 20+ prospects leaving them with very few players to actually contribute. It's just not feasible.
