Yao proved the opposite of Bol. There's examples of both.

Oh my god, you're both completely wrong. It does take more than just being tall to succeed in the NBA. Manut Bol proved that years ago. But saying that Shaq was a better overall athlete than most top soccer players is also just asinine. How about a simple, "I don't like basketball," and "I don't like soccer?" Personally, my teams are the Mets, Giants (I also root for the Jets, except that Mark Sanchez is a miserable piece of crap QB), and thank god the Knicks are inching their way back to respectability (and then blowing it all with that ridiculous 'Melo trade). Also, the real UT, Tennessee Vols. And Paris-St. Germain, also known as Please Score Goals. How about least favorite teams? I can't stand the Yankees, and the fact that my girlfriend is a huge fan just makes me feel gross sometimes (at least she's a baseball fan!). The Patriots can all go die in a building collapse, please. And the Lakers and their rapist guard, well, LA deserves them. Man U and all of their supporters can also please blow me. Easy now Wes. One should never wish death upon another human being.

Yes, but clearly being tall is not "all" you need, otherwise Bol would have succeeded, because that's all he had. You're both just taking extreme stances for dramatic effect.
And I'm stalling making my next pick.

Why exactly are you stalling?

Easy now Wes. One should never wish death upon another human being. I didn't. I wished death upon Belichick and the Patriots. Zing!

To whomever was trashing soccer back there: I have converted many of my friends by issuing them a simple challenge. Choose a European team (doesn't matter who) and follow them for one season. If you're not hooked, you can quit. I haven't had anybody quit on me yet. It's incredibly addicting, and I think you'll find if you give it a chance that it is, in fact, a legitimate sport. That was my nice rant.
To answer the original question: Texas Rangers, Newcastle United, Dallas Stars. I'm a bandwagon Mavs fan (been rooting for them forever, but I can't be bothered to watch regular season games) and I don't have an NFL team, though I root for Peyton Manning to do well and the Patriots to do poorly. I think it's fascinating to see how people latch onto certain teams, especially ones that aren't in their geographic area.

I actually have tried it (well, it was the Red Bulls because their games were actually on TV) and I hated it. They score once an hour. I can't take it.

I can never like a team not from my geographical area, just doesn't feel right. And i do think soccer is a legitimate sport, i was hooked during the World Cup... Go Denmark!

If you gave it a legitimate shot, okay, but when people say something is "gay" (nomenclature we need to change by the way) that usually means their mind is closed.
Aside from that, the lack of scoring argument doesn't carry a lot of weight with me. Do you enjoy watching pitcher's duels? What about a 9-6 football game, where no touchdowns are scored? What about a 21-14 game, which is really just 3-2?

I didnt mean to offend anyone, it slipped. I usually don't say that.
And I don't mind low scoring baseball or football games.

If I can:
The main reason that I dislike soccer is not the lack of scoring, it's the lack of offense. It seems to me like the entire game is played in midfield. I'd hate hockey if the whole game was in the neutral zone or if football was all between the 40s, it'd be horrible. I loved LSU-Bama, it was thrilling to see two defenses allow some offense, but come up big when it mattered. That's my main issue with it.
