If you had taken Cano, we were going with the guy who is the hot brother.

Interesting pick with Stanton. Love him, but would have wanted him on a longer contract.

He can resign at the end of the year if he would like to extend him.

I think Stanton has 50+ HR potential. I think he will also develop a running game soon. The man is a beast!

Oh, I know people can be re-signed...it just means that Stanton's "peak" years will be astronomically expensive.

How could he have gotten Mike Stanton without his peak years not being extremely expensive?

He would have been there in the 2nd round and for an extra year at $3 less

Either way, he'd have to draft someone for $15 for just one year...

Lol, I'm not dissing your pick man, just saying what I thought, I can see the rationale behind drafting him early so that he won't get picked by someone else, but the disadvantage to that is he will get more expensive seeing as how he has yet to reach his peak.

Its all good but the point I'm trying to make is that whoever I pick in the 1st round... hasn't reached their peak. Since I wouldnt pick someone that early that has passed their peak (Albert). Anyone I take in the 1st round, will eventually be even more expensive. Ya see what I mean?

Well you could have picked someone in their peak, any of the elite pitchers hell even Kershaw, or another elite hitter, that wasn't so young but elite.

I would not say Kershaw is in his peak yet. He can still get better.
