Draft format could be an issue. With having 14+ teams, it will be difficult to find a time to get everyone on the computer at the same time, especially with varying work, school and life schedules, along with time zone differences so we need to consider the format as to how we are doing this.

If we can possibly organize everyone for a Saturday or Sunday draft, with a date decided well in advance, that is my preference. An offline draft of this size could take months.

Rocky and I just had our 20-team 20-round MLB/10-round milb drafts complete offline in another league w/ 24 hour time limits on picks in about 4-5 weeks. I think that's a nice way to have a little action/discussion every day for a while through the hot stove season.

I'm assuming most managers have computer access on a daily basis, or at least have a smart phone. Proboards can be accessed via smart phone. With a 24 hour pick limit, we could get through it pretty quickly. 12 teams and under I could easily set up a certain date but 16 teams is just pretty hectic, seeing as everyone has varying schedules, time limits ect.

I'd be willing to try either, and I agree with both sides. The convenience of getting it done in one day is nice, but it would be really hard to get all of us together at the same point.
I mean, for me, I work on most Saturdays and Sundays, but I could probably ask for one off if we decided to do that instead.

I think the offline draft is definitely worth the amount of time it would take. I mean this is a dynasty league so we should be in it for the long haul. Also, no one wants to miss the draft and have a sucky team. They will probably just quit if that happens.
