So, I started watching Breaking Bad, finally, a couple of months ago, and just finished Season 4 last night. Best show on TV, I think. Has the distinction of having almost zero sympathetic characters, but still being remarkably compelling (if a bit far-fetched at times).
The finale of season 4 is just mind-blowing. Bryan Cranston is amazing.

I just started watching this as well, though I'm having to go at a really slow pace. Fascinating show - much better than I imagined when I heard the premise.
In other news on how behind the times I am, I also recently started watching Louie. Can't recommend it enough if you're a fan of dark humor.

Breaking Bad rocks. The season 4 finale is jaw-dropping.
I highly recommend the Wire for another phenomenal drama w/ a great cast of mostly unsympathetic characters.

I'm rewatching 24, the entire series. It's so awesome.

Louie is hilarious, and also darkly disturbing and often quite depressing. I love Louis C.K. He did a live AQA thing over at Reddit not too long ago, and was great. Engaging, intelligent, funny, and above all just a really nice guy.
24 is a little too right-wing for me. Plus, having grown up on movies like Stand By Me and The Lost Boys, Kiefer Sutherland will always be one of the biggest douches to grace a screen. Doesn't help that he kind of is one in real life.
Haven't really started The Wire, though I did watch most of, I think, Season 1 several years ago. I remember it being very good, but didn't stick with it. Then I moved to Baltimore for a while and didn't feel all that much need to remind myself what an awful city I lived in.

I started watching The Walking Dead after it became available in Netflix streaming, and that one hooked me really bad. Can't wait for the season to restart in February.

My new favorite show is definitely Homeland. Claire Danes (from My So Called Life...awesome show from back in the day) and Mandy Patinkin are amazing. Outstanding writing and constant surprises makes this show pretty standout. Season finale this Sunday 12/18.

My girl and I get stoned at crack up at Workaholics. Poop Dollar!!!
Haven't seen Homeland, yet, but I love Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin. He was really good on Dead Like Me, another underrated show. Plus, he will always be Inigo Montoya.

Also, Archer is the funniest thing on TV for me right now. Love Jon Benjamin, plus it's got Judy Greer, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter, all from Arrested Development. Speaking of which, Netflix has commissioned a new exclusive season with the original cast and writers and I CANNOT WAIT.

But did you try watching it stoned? It's practically essential to the experience.
