Funny that someone mentioned Rush. Geddy is a huge baseball and fantasy geek. He's been whooping my ass in my keeper league for the last 6 years running.
I listen to damn near everything, but I'm getting into my "Get off my lawn!" years, so current pop is pretty awful to me. Been on a big Gram Parsons kick lately.
If you dig music, Spotify is your new best friend.

I can't stand Rush, which is weird as a Canadian. Geddy Lee sounds like a toddler with a microphone to me.

Hahaha, yeah, his voice is...unique. I wasn't a fan of the music until I got to know him, I've gotten much more into it over the years. They put on a stellar live show.
His son is a prick, though.

I'm sure plenty of musicians are nice people, but it wouldn't really change my view on the sounds of it. I love Dream Theater which many people compare to Rush.

Apart from Geddy, Rush is magnificent. I'm a drummer, so I basically idolize Neil Peart. Dream Theater is also pretty unbelievable.

Don't really understand the love for Neil Peart as a drummer either. I look at guys like Thomas Lang and just can't see myself putting Peart in that category.

No, dude, Peart actually is an amazing drummer. I hate the idol-worship aspect of it with him, but he's ridiculous.

I listen to John Mayer and he's one of the biggest prick's you'll find. I don't care for him personally but he has good music.

The new Das Racist album is in heavy rotation for me right now, too. I'm sick of the whole Kreayshawn/Odd Future/Kanye/etc. hipster-hop thing, but this album really smokes.

I've worked in the music business for over 20 years, mainly doing A&R (scouting bands/artists and making records) thus my tastes tend to change quickly. My big claim to fame is I signed the Melvins. Kurt Cobain produced my first album with the Melvins. My current obsessions are Frank Ocean (amazing new school R&B artist, part of the Odd Future crew), Bon Iver, My Morning Jacket, Drake and the Twilight Singers

Easy now. Put's on a good show and the concerts have about a 60:1 female to male ratio. He knows what he is doing.
